4x4 'Industrial' F.A.T. Mat Gaming Mat
A 4' x 4' Gaming Surface with unique themes Mouse Pad material, a neoprene rubber backing with a water resistant, smooth surface Great for a gaming mat! While other gaming surfaces can be great, they have their limitations. Felt has hairs that catch models while moving and gets dirty easily, cloth creases and is plain, latex mats require painting and tear easily, wood surfaces are heavy, can be expensive and require a lot of work to prepare and paint. Plastic looks great, but dice bounce all over it loudly, it's expensive, you have to paint it, they're difficult to transport and they have seams running across them where the tiles meet. A game mat on a mouse pad would be durable but flexible, light, good looking, easy to use with no preparation needed, and reasonably priced!
The F.A.T. mat comes with a black canvas zipper bag and a F.A.T. tag (luggage tag) with a picture of the mat contained inside.

The Perfect Necromunda Battle Mat
Posted by Shaun on 17th Mar 2017
Just received this in the post today and could not be more pleased with it. Ordered it specifically for Necromunda but I'm sure could be used for any sci-fi / industrial miniatures war-game.
Although it has many colours, it is not overly bright, giving it the perfect dark, dirty look whilst still being very colourful and pleasing to look at. The details are amazing aswell. I especially like the hazard lines and scattered pamphlets - which tie in nicely to my Necromunda theme.
As to creases and folds I can honestly say that it arrived in absolutely perfect condition. It was 9 days in transit from California all the way to Gibraltar and it unrolled in perfect condition from its handy carry bag (it was shipped in a cardboard box aswell).
Over the moon with it, and I can honestly say my next battle mat will be a F.A.T. Mat.
