6x4' Hex Grid GEO Mats in 1", 1.25" & 1.5" Hex Grids with either a black or white colored grid.
We love the gaming industry and, even more, we love bringing innovative products to improve the gaming experience; the GEO Mats are the next TABLEWAR innovation to do just that!
The GEO Mats are, most simply, a transparent gaming surface with a pre-printed grid on it. Once more, you can draw on the surface with wet-erase markers or grease pencils and easily erase the marks.
Writing on the GEO Mats – The GEO Mats are made to be written on with erasable markers and grease pencils. We recommend you write on the non-printed side. We also recommend Wet-Erase Markers rather than Dry-Erase Markers; Dry-Erase markers can stain plastic if left on the surface for longer than a few hours.
- Wet-erase markers write easily and clean-off the most easily but also are prone to smearing.
- Grease Pencils provide an instantly smear-proof writing on the surface but require a little more effort to clean off the surface. These are our personal favorite to use.
Cleaning the GEO Mats – We recommend cleaning the GEO Mats with water and a towel (paper towels are fine too). Baby-wipes can be particularly useful especially when cleaning off the grease pencil marks. Using a dry towel after the wet towel or wet wipes gives a dry surface that is ready to write upon again. Stronger chemicals, including glass cleaner, are not necessary or recommended.
We hope you enjoy our product!

I took a chance on this mat. I have a Deep Cuts European Aerial mat w/o hexes that I want to use for Check Your 6! a hex based air combat game. I want to get the Deep Cuts ocean and MiG Alley mats too (without hexes). Using this clear vinyl overlay mat allows me maximum versatility since I can use the Deep Cuts mats with other games that don’t require hexes. Furthermore, I can throw this mat on top of my other miniatures ground cloths for Gurps or The Fantasy Trip games. The quality of printing and the heaviness of the vinyl are excellent! The only problem I’ve had is that, while it is shipped rolled, the roll collapsed under its own weight during shipping. This has caused it to have “waves” in it when unrolled. I flattened it by weighting it down for a few days but the deformities are still visible even though they are significantly reduced. I did try warming it with a hair dryer but that didn’t work. Given time, I’m sure the waves will disappear. My one suggestion to the company is that they roll the mats around a cardboard core before putting it in a box for shipping. Still, I give the mat itself five stars.

Excellent product. Hexes are clear and sharp. My only problem is getting it to lie flat, without ripples.
