6x4 'Grassy Plains' F.A.T. Mat Gaming Mat
A 6' x 4' Gaming Surface with unique themes Mouse Pad material, a neoprene rubber backing with a water resistant, smooth surface Great for a gaming mat! While other gaming surfaces can be great, they have their limitations. Felt has hairs that catch models while moving and gets dirty easily, cloth creases and is plain, latex mats require painting and tear easily, wood surfaces are heavy, can be expensive and require a lot of work to prepare and paint. Plastic looks great, but dice bounce all over it loudly, it's expensive, you have to paint it, they're difficult to transport and they have seams running across them where the tiles meet. A game mat on a mouse pad would be durable but flexible, light, good looking, easy to use with no preparation needed, and reasonably priced!
The F.A.T. mat comes with a black canvas zipper bag and a F.A.T. tag (luggage tag) with a picture of the mat contained inside.
More Character than you might think!

I've set up my full terrain compliment on this board now. Alien terrain, ruins, city terrain, chaos death world type terrain. It all works. If you use hills, trees and shrines it's a very enchanted forest kind of look. If you use ruins or city it's a very lush overgrown look. If you use deathworld choas terrain, its a fairly menacing look. The matt has so many possibilities. That brown can become a broken trail, the circular element can be a shrine, stone henge or similar effect with the right walls, it makes for an awesome basis for a trenchline type setup and I've used it for just simple back drop, which is my most common approach. The design is simple but actually thought out well. It just works with so many pieces of terrain and you never feel forced to a particular table set up. Let your imagination run wild. As I've said before, the mats are designed to last. Far more sturdy than I expected. So comfortable to lean or lay your palm on. No flock or bits covering your army or hand. Dice roll quite well on it and do not fly off the table, nor do they feel like they are being prematurely stopped from rolling. Its quite the perfect feel. It's quite sturdy and even the oddly balanced models stand up well. Should you knock a model over, the material cushions well to minimize damage and its far superior to it falling on a hard table. I can't say enough good things about these mats. I've started to bring mine with me, just to show others. Speaking of which - each mat comes with a carrying case that stores the easily rolled mat. There's also a durable printed card on the outside of the carrying case allowing easy identification of the contents. This product is well thought out. I've had to tell one of our local brick and mortar stores about this product who sell internationally, Miniature Market about this product. They loved it so much, they plan to reach out and see if a business agreement can be reached. I hope it pays off for both parties. Please remember us little people when you make your millions! These mats are that good for gaming! :)
